KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 25): ACE Market-listed Sunview Group Bhd has clinched a RM93.83 million engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contract for the development of a 26-megawatt large-scale solar photovoltaic (LSSPV) plant in Kuala Langat, Selangor. The contract is its first since its listing on Oct 17.

In a statement on Tuesday (Oct 25), the end-to-end solar PV construction player said the contract was awarded to the group’s wholly owned subsidiary Fabulous Sunview Sdn Bhd from LSS TPG Sdn Bhd, a unit of Advancecon Holdings Bhd.

“The latest awarded contract entails the full range of services from project preliminaries, management and engineering as well as consultancy services, procurement of solar PV modules and equipment to earthworks, civil works and ancillary works, testing and commissioning.

“Works for the LSSPV plant are expected to commence from February 2023 up to November 2023 or such other date determined under the power purchase agreement, being the agreed schedule commercial operation date,” Sunview added.

Sunview chief executive officer Ong Hang Ping noted that this is the group’s maiden contract after listing on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia on Oct 17, and said that the group will continue to capitalise on its proven track record and experienced technical and management team to remain competitive in the market and strengthen its orderbook.

“Moving forward, we will continue to champion Malaysia’s transition towards the adoption of renewable energy by providing a one-stop solutions centre for individuals and companies that want to utilise solar power as their source of energy,” he added.

Shares of Sunview closed one sen or 2.06% higher at 49.5 sen, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM229.3 million. The counter has risen 70.69% from its initial public offering price of 29 sen.
