KUALA LUMPUR (July 13): Omesti Bhd’s major shareholder Datuk Mah Siew Kwok bought an additional 1.2 million shares in the IT-based company last Friday at 62 sen each.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Omesti announced that Mah’s direct stake increased to 22.094%, or 85.7 million shares. Mah, who is also the Omesti's vice chairman, also holds an indirect stake of 2.93% or 11.36 million shares.

Year to date, Omesti's share price has risen by 19.3% to 65 sen from 54.5 sen, giving it a market capitalisation of RM250.23 million.

The company has completed a re-organisation exercise with five subsidiaries being injected into its listed subsidiary Microlink Solution Bhd in which Omesti controls a 79% shareholding.
