NIKE has revealed its next-generation football boot collection, with the Hypervenom, Magista, Mercurial and Tiempo lines as part of the Electro Flare Pack. Dark metallic colours covered with splashes of neon yellow and green are recurring themes in this collection, which is reminiscent of stars shining brightly upon a backdrop of galaxies and the endless darkness of space.

The Nike Mercurial Superfly boot showcases a purple-metallic body with blue-green dotted laces and splashes of neon yellow. The Electro Flare Magista Obra and Magistax, on the other hand, feature shades of metallic green and neon yellow. The Electro Flare Hypervenom II and HypervenomX are coloured bright purple lined with touches of neon green upon a black background. Those who are looking for a more understated, less “bling” boot will appreciate the down-to-earth Electro Flare Tiempo Legend V, which is plain charcoal black with little speckles of neon green on the back.

The trend-setting HypervenomX is Nike’s design for small-sided football, designed for attacking players who are capable of moves in any direction. The boot is engineered to work with the foot to enable agility, and Nike’s Flywire is strategically mapped into the upper shoe with additional siping for heavy ball-contact areas. This Flywire is integrated into a responsive loft of mesh with varying density levels.

On the other hand, the Magista and Mercurial Superfly released in 2014, were the first boots to incorporate Nike’s groundbreaking Flyknit technology. They were designed to provide the ultimate fit, touch and traction for specific styles of play. The Magista is crafted for creative playmakers whereas the Mercurial is built for explosive speed.

This brand new line, the Electro Flare Pack will be sported by Nike’s high-profile players such as Alexis Sanchez, Kevin De Bruyne, Arturo Vidal, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva, David Luiz, Neymar, Robert Lewandowski, among many others.
