A scarf is a fashion staple for many women, even in tropical climates such as ours, where the weather may not so necessitate. One of the popular choices is the iconic, cashmere scarf from Burberry. If you are a fan of the brand’s signature plaid scarf, you will be spoiled for choice at the Burberry scarf bar. Opt for a classic in-house check design or plain-colour heritage shades. Alternatively, you can go for the plaid scarf that has two looks — adorned with red heart shapes on one side and the fully plaid design on the other — which is almost like owning two scarves!

Each Burberry scarf is made of 100% goatswool cashmere, with the fur of one goat required per scarf. The fur is treated and dyed and woven on a traditional loom. It is then washed in the fresh local waters of Elgin and Ayr, and finished by skilled craftspeople using expert methods passed down through generations. The soft feel and luxurious ripple finish that one gets from these scarves is the result of the fabric being brushed with natural teasels.

The Burberry scarf bar, which is available globally in stores and online, offers customers the full range of classic and lightweight cashmere designs, all of which are made in Scotland. Customers can take their pick between the classic cashmere scarf and the lightweight cashmere scarf. Both the designs come in 33 solid colour options as well as solid colours with a runway-inspired print, including heart, dot, animal and camouflage prints. For those who prefer the check design, the classic cashmere scarf has a choice of 32 colours and the lightweight cashmere scarf has five.

The scarf bar also offers monogramming service to its customers, should you wish to personalise your new purchase. Monogram services on scarves are subject to an additional RM325 for a maximum of three letters.

The scarf bar is located at the Burberry boutique on Level 2 of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and online at www.burberry.com.
