London Biscuits Bhd
(June 3, 33.5 sen)
Maintain neutral with an unchanged target price (TP) of 53 sen:
London Biscuits Bhd’s (LBB) revenue jumped to RM121.6 million or 75.1% year-on-year (y-o-y), with corresponding net profit of RM5.9 million (196.5% y-o-y) for the second quarter of financial year 2019 (2QFY19), mainly due to higher sales in Malaysia.

Its revenue for 2QFY19 at RM121.6 million showed strong growth of 154.7% y-o-y in the local segment, while export sales for the current quarter slipped to RM14.2 million (-51% y-o-y).

We expect LBB’s confectionery, potato, snacks and candies segments to continue performing strongly for the remaining quarters backed by a stable order book and also an additional capacity from its potato chip production line.

The potato chip segment is expected to still perform strongly after the group secured new business opportunities from its new production lines. — PublicInvest Research, June 3
