TRADING of the shares in Teo Seng Capital Bhd (fundamental: 0.65/3, valuation: 0.80/3) triggered our algorithm for the fourth time this year, with the last time being on Jan 30.

The counter closed higher by nine sen or 8.57% to RM1.14 per share with 1.89 million shares traded. This is in contrast to its 200-day average trading volume of 144,146 shares.

The group announced on Jan 29 that its executive chairman Lau Jui Peng, 40, would be redesignated as non-executive chairman.

Jui Peng is the brother of Lau Joo Hong and Lau Joo Heng, who are indirect major shareholders in the group.

He has an indirect stake of 163.22 million shares through his company CW Lau & Sons Sdn Bhd and 26.02 million indirect warrants.
