TAS Offshore Bhd (-ve)
SHIPBUILDER TAS Offshore Bhd triggered our momentum algorithm for the third time this month, as trading volume surged to 28.32 million shares, or 58 times its 200-day average of 485,722 shares.

The counter rose 4.5 sen or 11.4% to close at 44 sen yesterday. Year to date, it has rallied 83.3%.

For the six months ended Nov 30, 2019 (6MFY20), TAS Offshore slipped into a net loss of RM475,000 from a net profit of RM2.23 million. Its revenue nearly halved to RM13.01 million from RM24.75 million for 6MFY19.

Overall, TAS is optimistic about its prospects on the back of a bright outlook for the Indonesian coal mining industry, which would trigger demand for more tugboats and possibly more jobs for the company.
