Superlon Holdings Bhd (-ve)

SHARES of Superlon (Fundamental: 3/3, Valuation: 2/3) saw a surge in trading volume after it posted a strong set of quarterly results last Thursday. The stock has soared 58.5% to a 5-year high of RM1.49 since it was first picked up by our momentum algorithm in March 2015. 

Based in Klang, Superlon manufactures nitrile butadiene rubber foam insulation materials for the heating and air conditioning industry. It exports about 70% of its products, mostly to other Asian countries.  

For FYApr2015, revenue increased 21% to RM74.5 million while net profit rose 60% to RM9.4 million, boosted by the favourable USD/MYR exchange rate. The company declared an interim dividend of 2 sen per share, which will go “ex” on 20 July 2015.

The stock trades at a trailing 12-month P/E ratio of 12.5 times and 1.5 times book value. Dividends totalled 8 sen per share in FY15, giving a yield of 5.4%.
