QL Resources Bhd (+ve)

QL Resources Bhd (fundamental: 0.8/3, valuation: 0.5/3), which closed 20 sen or 2.75% up at its all-time time high of RM7.48 yesterday, has made it to our Stocks with Momentum list for the fourth time since Oct 18.

A total of 5.35 million shares were traded yesterday, compared with its 200-day average trading volume of 1.28 million shares.

It is interesting to note that QL Resources’ major shareholders from the Chia family have been disposing of shares they own in the company recently.

Exchange filings show that since October, the company’s largest shareholder-cum-executive chairman Chia Song Kun sold a total of 5.23 million shares he held through CBG (L) Pte Ltd. Executive director Chia Seong Fatt, who is also brother-in-law to Song Kun, disposed of three million shares held through Farsathy Holdings Sdn Bhd, while Song Kun’s nephew Chia Mak Hooi, also an executive director, sold 200,000 of his shares in QL Resources held through Cimsec Nominees (Tempatan) Sdn Bhd.

The shares were sold between the price range of RM6.695 and RM7.2041 per share.
