Pansar Bhd (+ve)
TRADING of shares in Pansar Bhd (fundamental: 1.55/3, valuation: 0.8/3) triggered our momentum algorithm yesterday for the third time this year.

The counter closed unchanged at 59 sen, with a market capitalisation of RM272.58 million. A total of 7.4 million shares were traded versus its 200-day average trading volume of 802,454 shares.

For the first financial quarter ended June 30, 2019 (1QFY20), the group’s net profit declined 39.5% to RM1.44 million from RM2.38 million a year ago. Revenue for the quarter also fell 16% to RM81.57 million from RM97.15 million for 1QFY19.

The group attributed the lower net profit to its lower revenue, which was the result of what it deemed to be a “lacklustre sales performance” from its building product, heavy equipment, mechanical and electrical divisions. This was partially mitigated by higher revenue from its marine and industrial division.
