Magni-Tech Industries Bhd (-ve)

SHARES of apparels manufacturer Magni-Tech (Fundamental: 2.8/3, Valuation: 2.4/3) saw higher trading activity since June 24 at RM3.94. The stock fell to a low of RM3.69 before rising again to close at an all-time high of RM4.16 yesterday.

Over the last two weeks, major shareholder and Berjaya Group founder Vincent Tan disposed of 1,038,500 shares or a 0.96% stake in the open market, reducing his stake to 27.1%. 

For FY2015, net profit increased 24.2% to RM52.1 million on the back of a 10.0% sales growth to RM716.4 million. The company proposed a final dividend of 3 sen per share and a special dividend of 7 sen per share, bringing total dividends for FY2015 to 15 sen or a net yield of 3.7%.

Magni-Tech, which derives most of its sales from global sportswear leader Nike, has a debt-free balance sheet with cash of RM69.0 million or 63.6 sen per share.
