A & M Realty Bhd (-ve)

SHARES of A & M Realty (fundamental: 2.15/3; valuation: 1.1/3) gained five sen or 4.76% to close at RM1.10 yesterday, its highest since the beginning of the second half of this year.

It saw 1.06 million shares change hands, as compared to its 200-day average volume of 139,816 shares, despite a lack of new announcements.

The rise in A & M Realty’s share price is in line with the properties index, which gained 1.56 points or 0.13% to 1,211.42 on the back of news surrounding the proposal for higher Employees Provident Fund withdrawal for first-time homebuyers in the upcoming Budget 2017.

Shares of A & M Realty has risen 25.71% in the past 12 months, and 26.44% on a year-to-date basis.

At its current level, it is trading at a trailing 12-month price-earnings ratio (PER) of 16.6 times and is 0.6 times its book value. In comparison, its 10-year average PER value is about 11.6 times.

A & M Realty has a market capitalisation of RM401.6 million.
