Lii Hen Industries Bhd

Lii Hen Industries Bhd (fundamental: 2.8/3, valuation: 2.1/3) shares rose 14 sen or 4.91% to close at RM2.99 yesterday, after some 2.52 million shares were traded, significantly higher than its 200-day average volume of 574,744 units.

This is the second time the furniture maker triggered our momentum algorithm; the first time was on May 23, when it saw about 4.09 million shares change hands.

The counter has been on an upward climb since May 23, gaining about 12%.

Lii Hen is an integrated furniture manufacturer involved in a vast range of wood-based activities, from timber processing to manufacturing and packaging of finished goods for the domestic and export markets.

The group’s net profit came in 95.7% higher at RM21.02 million for the first quarter ended March 31, 2016, compared with RM10.74 million last year; revenue also rose to RM165.40 million from RM112.08 million previously.
