Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd (-ve)

Shares in Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd (fundamental: 2.3/3, valuation: 1.8/3), which triggered our momentum algorithm yesterday for the first time this year, closed 17 sen or 6.85% higher at their five-year peak of RM2.65, making the stock one of the top 10 gainers on Bursa Malaysia.

The counter saw a total of 2.26 million shares traded compared with a 200-day average trading volume of 468,791 shares.

The small-cap construction outfit’s net profit for the fourth quarter leapt 4.5 times to RM26.22 million on consolidated earnings of its newly acquired subsidiaries, Kerjaya Prospek (M) Sdn Bhd and Permatang Bakti Sdn Bhd.

Revenue climbed over 11 times to RM235.49 million.

The stock is currently trading at 1.67 times its net book value.
