Innoprise Plantations Bhd (-ve)

SHARES in Innoprise Plantations Bhd (fundamental: 1.05/3, valuation: 1.1/3) triggered our momentum algorithm for the first time this year. Its share price edged higher by 0.74% or 0.5 sen to close at 68 sen last Friday, with 251,000 shares traded. The volume was about eight times higher than its 200-day average volume of 39,166 shares.

Innoprise is involved in oil palm planting and development, primarily in Sabah.

The group recorded a net profit of RM7.96 million in the second quarter ended June 30, 2016 (2QFY16), up 5.8% from RM7.52 million in 2QFY15. The increase was mainly due to higher log extraction volume and higher crude palm oil and palm kernel prices.

At its current price, it is trading at a trailing price-earnings ratio of 14.2 times and is 1.09 times its book value. Year to date, its share price has increased by 11.66%, with a market capitalisation of RM325.1 million.
