Hai-O Enterprise Bhd (+ve)

SHARES in Hai-O Enterprise Bhd (fundamental: 3/3, valuation: 1.7/3) gained by 19 sen or 4.87% to settle at RM4.09 last Friday, after 1.72 million shares changed hands. The stock has jumped 54.34% from when it was trading at RM2.65 on Jan 3. At the current price, Hai-O has a market capitalisation of RM1.18 billion. This is the fifth time Hai-O is featured on “Stocks with Momentum”.

Last Thursday, Hai-O announced that its net profit in the fourth quarter ended April 30, 2017 jumped 63.21% to RM18.25 million or 6.30 sen per share, from RM11.18 million or 3.38 sen per share a year ago, as revenue climbed 34.28% to RM118.37 million from RM88.15 million. It attributed the better earnings to higher contribution from both its multilevel marketing and wholesale divisions.

For the entire financial year ended April 30, 2017 (FY17), net profit rose 63.07% to RM59.26 million or 20.47 sen per share, from RM36.34 million or 12.47 sen per share previously, while revenue grew by 35.74% to RM403.99 million, from RM297.63 million in FY16.

It proposed a final dividend of 11 sen per share for FY17, bringing its total payout to 16 sen for the year, one sen higher than FY16.
