Gunung Capital Bhd (-ve)
SHARES in Gunung Capital Bhd (fundamental: 1.2/3, valuation: 0.3/3) closed up one sen or 1.87% higher to settle at 54.5 sen yesterday.

The stock saw some 4.33 million shares traded yesterday compared with its 200-day average volume of just 224,638 shares.

In January, the company bagged a RM43.9 million contract from the defence ministry to provide bus transportation to and from nominated schools for the armed forces personnel’s children nationwide.

Gunung Capital said its wholly-owned subsidiary GPB Corp Sdn Bhd on Dec 30, 2016, accepted a letter of award from the ministry for the proposed job.

The service contract’s tenure is from Jan 1, 2017, to Nov 30, 2019.

It has a market capitalisation of RM128.7 million, based on its last traded price.
