KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 2): A few staff of the Dewan Negara have been confirmed to have caught Covid-19, rendering the parliament a high-risk area, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Parliament and Law) Takiyuddin Hassan confirms today.
He also said there is a possibility that several members of the Dewan Negara may have also been infected due to close contact. They are now put under investigation.
The parliament session will be adjourned at 1pm today, Dewan Rakyat Speaker Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun said.
