KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 22): Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC) bagged five awards at the recent Global Health Asia-Pacific Awards 2021, including ‘Best Hospital of the Year’ for the second year in a row.

In a statement today, the hospital said its achievements in cutting-edge genetic and molecular diagnostics, with a focus on targeted therapies in oncology, also earned recognition as the Advanced Genetics Service Provider of the Year as well as Oncology Service Provider of the Year for the third consecutive year.

SJMC is part of Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care (RSDH) group of hospitals. RSDH is equally owned by Sime Darby Bhd and Ramsay Health Care.

SJMC chief executive officer Trish Hogan said the achievements are a credit to the highly committed and high performing team of doctors, nurses and staff who have contributed towards the growth and success of SJMC.

“In fact, the hospital motto of 'People caring for people' is not just a culture but ingrained in the mindset of every team member.

“We will continue to embrace medical innovation and technology, while keeping people at the heart of all we do as we move forward,” she said.

The Global Health APAC Awards aims to recognize medical and related facilities in the Asia-Pacific region for their excellence in healthcare and patient care.
