SINGAPORE (Aug 8): Singtel’s 1Q results might have been impacted by losses from Indian associate Bharti Airtel, however the telco believes the worst could be over as Airtel is one of the three operators to survive the industry consolidation.

“If you look at Airtel’s operations, it has been decent on a quarter-on-quarter basis. The revenue has actually gone up, and the ARPU (average revenue per user) is actually higher than Reliance Jio’s. It has inched up 6 rupees, which is actually quite a decent improvement compared the last few quarters,” says Arthur Lang, CEO, international, Singtel, at its results briefing this morning.
