Sime Darby Property Bhd unveiled its latest development in Bandar Bukit Raja, Klang — Laman Lakeside — on July 27.

Laman Lakeside, with a gross development value (GDV) of RM34.3 million, will sit on 4.82 acres of freehold land. It will comprise 24 double-storey semi-detached houses with built-ups of 3,106 to 4,500 sq ft. Prices start at RM1.5 million. The project is scheduled to be completed in July 2021.

“Laman Lakeside will incorporate the BBR (Bandar Bukit Raja) Home Design Principles that build houses with natural ventilation and lighting, along with a multigenerational living concept,” says Sime Darby Property general manager Mohd Idris Abdullah in an email.

There will be a central park with a pavilion for residents to gather and mingle. Jogging and cycling tracks will also be available.

The project is the latest to be launched under the Spotlight 8 campaign, which will feature Sime Darby Property’s affordable products. The campaign, which began on July 13 and will run until Sept 29, offers weekend deals and allows customers to buy newly launched projects at eight locations in the Klang Valley and Johor.

“Spotlight 8 is an extension of the successful Primetime 8 campaign, which was held in March and April,” says Sime Darby Property chief marketing and sales officer Gerard Yuen Yun Wei in a press release.

“We achieved RM1 billion in sales during the two-month campaign and now, we are back to present exciting new products, including an affordable series. We are also showcasing existing properties in established and emerging townships.”

On July 18, Spotlight 8 saw the launch of Kyra in Bandar Bukit Raja, Klang. The freehold project, with a GDV of RM107.3 million, will occupy 22.73 acres. It will feature 194 double-storey link homes measuring 20ft by 75ft, with built-ups of 1,512 to 1,984 sq ft. Prices start at RM563,888. To date, the development is 80% sold.

Other launches to follow are Serenia Arina, which will feature 22ft by 75ft, 2-storey link homes in Serenia City, Sepang; superlink homes in Bukit Jelutong; The Ridge and The Veo in KL East; Lot 15 in Subang Jaya City Centre (SJCC); Avalon at USJ Heights; Castilla at Chemara Hills, Negeri Sembilan; Harmoni Permai in Johor; and the first dto-based high-rise project — Aurora — in SJCC. dto (pronounced as ditto) is Malaysia’s first experiential online platform-based co-creation and crowd-sourcing on selected developments by Sime Darby Property.

On July 23, Sime Darby Property launched Great Minds Campaign, a five-month drive that will run until November.

Sime Darby Property, together with Yayasan Sime Darby, Mental Illness Awareness and Support Association and Malaysian Mental Health Association, is holding workshops and forums on mental health in schools, universities and corporate organisations to benefit more than 500 individuals. This will be followed by an exhibition at the Great Minds Charity Ride in Bandar Ainsdale to promote awareness of mental health issues among 1,500 expected participants.
