KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 23): Sime Darby Plantation Bhd said its foreign shareholding fell 11 basis points to 9.33% as at Dec 31, 2020 from 9.44% a month earlier (November 2020). The December 2020 figure was the lowest in three years since December 2017, according to the company’s latest foreign shareholding update.

Sime Darby Plantation said compared to a year earlier, December 2020 foreign shareholding dropped from 10.39% in December 2019.

According to Sime Darby Plantation’s foreign shareholding chart, which dates back as far as December 2017, its foreign shareholding then stood at 13.92%.

Sime Darby Plantation said that as at April 2, 2020, its total number of issued shares stood at 6.88 billion.

At Bursa Malaysia's 12:30pm break today, Sime Darby Plantation’s share price settled up one sen or 0.21% at RM4.88 for a market value of about RM33.57 billion.

The stock was traded between RM4.90 and RM4.86 so far today.
