<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>In a statement on its website yesterday, SEMI said the billing figure was 4.2% higher than the final February 2021 level of US$3.14 billion.</p></div><div class=inPageAd id=div-gpt-ad-inpage></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>SEMI president and chief executive officer (CEO) Ajit Manocha said that fuelled by strong demand for leading-edge technologies, billings for North America-based semiconductor equipment manufacturers continued to edge up in March to set a new historical high.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>SEMI publishes a monthly North American billings report and issues the Worldwide Semiconductor Equipment Market Statistics (WWSEMS) report in collaboration with the Semiconductor Equipment Association of Japan (SEAJ).</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>The WWSEMS report currently reports billings for 24 equipment segments and seven end-market regions.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>SEMI also has a long history of tracking semiconductor industry fab investments in detail on company-by-company and fab-by-fab bases in its World Fab Forecast and SEMI FabView databases.</p></div>
