KUALA LUMPUR (April 23): Selcare Clinic has opened a drive-through Covid-19 testing facility at Selayang, Gombak as part of community screening efforts.

The tests are free for senior citizens and non-senior citizens who have the following ailments: fevers, coughs, colds and sore throats.

Yesterday, several food delivery riders were spotted undergoing Covid-19 tests at the facility.

In a bid to curb infections, several delivery platforms have introduced contactless delivery options and are strongly encouraging the use of e-wallets to make payment.

Parts of Selayang, which include its wholesale market, were put under the Enhanced Movement Control Order on Monday as the Ministry of Health plans to screen residents, who include foreign workers deemed to be at high risk.

These areas were placed under lockdown after a Myanmar national succumbed to the disease.

As at noon yesterday, Gombak has 144 cumulative cases of Covid-19, but there are only 19 active cases.

The community testing is also available in Hulu Langat, which has 446 total cases, of which 81 are active cases.

The health district has the second-highest number of total cases after Lembah Pantai, which has 646 cases, of which 273 are active.

Selcare Clinic is run by Selgate Corporation Sdn Bhd, a unit of Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor.
