KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 27): The letter "C" is emblematic of the house of Chanel. Besides being legendary founder Coco Chanel's initials, it also stands for camellias (Mademoiselle's favourite, and the house's signature flower); Rue Cambon, where the flagship store is located; and Cynthia Lim, managing director of Chanel Malaysia ever since the brand was established locally 25 years ago. In a rare interview, she sits down to talk to Options about her career path, what it is like to work in the business of luxury and the thing that is most important in her life: family.

Elsewhere in luxury news, Zenith's Meet the DreamHers event in Singapore introduces passionate and inspiring women who embody the brand's fighting spirit. Our Review column details the experiences on the club class of three popular airlines. For a slice of the good life, we look at how farm distillery Kilchoman's grain to glass approach creates true-blue Islay whiskies and the clever manner in which Walimatulurus — The Wedding Banquet combines dining and theatre.

For a relaxing cuppa, check out the story of The Bavaria, a local brand that peddles teas made from freeze dried fruit and flowers. This week, in anticipation of the year-end season, we have also released our annual Gift Guide, a slick and sleek pullout featuring all the best possible buys for yourself or a loved one.

Read all of these in the latest issue of Options, available with the Nov 28 issue of The Edge Malaysia weekly.
