KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 8): Samsung Electronics Co Ltd has officially unveiled its Galaxy Note 10 series, with three variants. The new line of the flagship smartphone starts at RM3,699 in Malaysia, with pre-orders accepted from yesterday (Aug 7) until Aug 18.

Samsung said there will be two sizes, with the entry model coming with 256-gigabyte (GB) internal storage and a 6.3-inch Cinematic Infinity Display.

The Galaxy Note 10 opens up the Note to users who want the power of the S Pen and ultimate productivity in a compact form factor, Samsung said in a statement.

For the larger model, dubbed Galaxy Note 10+, Samsung said it features the biggest Note display ever, with a 6.8-inch Cinematic Infinity Display.

The Galaxy Note 10+ has two internal storage options, namely the 256GB variant (priced at RM4,199) and the 512GB variant (priced at RM4,799).

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Note 10+ is also equipped with the superfast charging feature, with up to 45W wired charging capability.

Samsung said this new device would last through the day, with just 30 minutes of charge.

Additionally, the Galaxy Note 10 now comes with a redesigned, unibody S Pen, with additional features like converting handwritten note to digital text in Samsung Notes, and exporting it to a variety of different formats.

Samsung added Air Actions into S Pen, allowing user to control certain aspects of the device, using gestures with the S Pen.

At the camera department, Galaxy Note 10+ has the DepthVision camera, enabling it to scan an object, and instantly turn it into a movable 3D rendering.

Samsung has also incorporated night mode into Galaxy Note 10’s front camera, to aid selfies in low light conditions.

“Every element of the Galaxy Note 10 was designed to help users achieve more. Whether they’re finishing a big project for work, capturing and editing a video, or playing their favourite mobile game, the Galaxy Note 10 will help them do it faster and better,” said DJ Koh, president and chief executive officer of Samsung Electronics’ IT & Mobile Communications Division.
