MOSCOW (May 31): S P Setia Bhd has bagged its 11th Gold of the FIABCI World Prix D’Excellence Awards 2019, held in Moscow, Russia on Thursday evening. This makes S P Setia the Malaysian developer that has won the highest number of Gold awards.

The FIABCI World Gold Award went to Setia SPICE, Penang. S P Setia's Parque Melbourne, Australia won the Silver Award in the Residential High-Rise category while Circus West Village at Battersea Power Station, London also took the Silver in the Residential Mid-Rise category.

The developer also made history at the awards as this is the first time in the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards history where a company has won three awards for projects located in three different continents, in a single year.

“Our latest World Gold Award marks the 11th time S P Setia is conferred such a prestigious award, and we remain the only Malaysian developer to have achieved this feat,” said S P Setia’s president and CEO Datuk Khor Chap Jen after the awards ceremony.

He described the win as a remarkable achievement that was made possible with the dedication and hard work from the 2,300-strong Team Setia.

It will also serve as an endorsement to other upcoming Setia projects in Melbourne.

He added that the company will continue to adhere to customers’ expectations as a priority and he strongly believes that its commitment to innovation will help it meet the demands of a rapidly evolving market.

Upon receiving the World Silver Award for Circus West, Battersea Power Station in London, CEO of Battersea Power Station Development Company (BPSDC) Simon Murphy said: “We are truly honoured that Circus West, the first phase of the wider Battersea Power Station regeneration project, has been recognised by FIABCI as one of this year’s winners.
