KUALA LUMPUR (March 22): The Ministry of Finance (MoF) announced today that the retail price of RON97 petrol will be increased by seven sen to RM2.61 per litre, for the March 23 to 29 period based on the weekly price setting for petroleum products using the automatic pricing mechanism (APM).

In a statement today, the MoF said the retail price of RON95 petrol will remain at RM2.08 a litre while the price of diesel will be maintained at RM2.18 a litre.

"Based on the APM formula calculation, the retail prices of RON95 and diesel for the March 23 to 29, 2019 period should be RM2.31 and RM2.38 per litre respectively.

"However, the retail prices of RON95 and diesel for the period are maintained at RM2.08 and RM2.18 per litre in line with the government's decision to stabilise retail prices for petroleum products and reduce the people's cost of living," the MoF said.
