KUALA LUMPUR (May 15): Rohas Tecnic Bhd has secured a RM102 million contract in Bangladesh to design, supply, install, test and commission 400 kilowatts (kV) and 132kV transmission lines.

The turnkey contract was clinched by Rohas’ subsidiary HG Power Transmission Sdn Bhd (HGPT), which on May 12 had accepted the contract’s letter of award from the Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd, it announced in a bourse filing. 

The contract, which is expected to start in the third quarter of the year, has a tenure of 24 months.

“The contract will have a positive impact on [Rohas Tecnic group’s] results for the year ending Dec 31, 2020 and in the future.

Shares in Rohas finished 1.24% or half a sen higher at 41 sen apiece, giving it a market value of RM193.79 million. It saw 3.03 million shares traded.
