The Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association (Rehda) hopes the final expo of the Home Ownership Campaign–Malaysia Property Expo 2019 (HOC-MAPEX) for Selangor will ring up total sales of more than RM200 million,

Rehda Selangor chairman Zulkifly Garib said at a media conference last Wednesday.

“About 11,000 units were sold in Selangor from January to June, achieving sales of about RM7 billion, which was way over our target of RM3 billion for the HOC for the entire Klang Valley. It is obvious there is always demand for the right product at the right price and location,” he said.

Participating developers are those that have developments in Ampang, Taman Melawati, Shah Alam, Puchong and Klang.

HOC-MAPEX 2019 is a collaboration between Rehda and the Ministry of Housing and Local Government.

The final HOC-MAPEX 2019 event will be held at Central i-City in Shah Alam from Nov 14 to 17. About 2,800 housing units priced from RM289,000 to RM2.5 million will be on offer. The properties include completed as well as properties under construction and are open for sale to Malaysians.

The 11 developers taking part include Glomac Bhd, Amverton Bhd, Sunsuria Bhd, Eco World Development Group Bhd and Symphony Union Suites Sdn Bhd. RHB Bank Bhd will also take part in the expo.

The opening ceremony on Nov 15 will be officiated by Selangor Executive Councillor for Housing and Urban Living Haniza Mohd Talha.
