KUALA LUMPUR (April 3): RHB Banking Group is waiving the RM1 fee for interbank cash withdrawal at its Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs), starting from April 6 until the end of the Movement Control Order period.

“This would reduce the distance travelled by banking customers who wish to make cash withdrawals, thereby helping to further prevent the spread of COVID-19,” the group said in a statement today.

This follows the Government's earlier announcement today that the RM1 interbank cash withdrawal fee for all ATMs under the Malaysian Electronic Payment System (MEPS) network will be waived from April 6 until the end of the MCO.

The waiver is for all customers of banks within the Malaysian Electronic Payment System Sdn Bhd (MEPS) network, RHB explained. So, they can withdraw funds from any of RHB's more than 1,100 ATMs nationwide at no extra cost.
