KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 10): Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara) chairman Tan Sri Annuar Musa has yet to dispel speculation that the agency did not have sufficient funds to sustain the education needs of Bumiputera students, PKR said today.

Rafizi Ramli, the party's secretary general, urged the chairman to explain all the education funding schemes offered by Mara that were open to applicants.

He also wanted Annuar to state whether the students in Universiti Kuala Lumpur would receive funding from the agency as earlier promised.

Rafizi said Annuar should reveal the allocation given by Datuk Seri Najib Razak to Mara for education from 2009 until this year.

Rafizi said to assist parents and students facing funding problems involving Mara, he had set up a website for them to lodge their complaints.

“I invite all those having issues with Mara's educational funding to fill in the information needed at the web address so that I can gauge how serious the problem is at Mara,” he said.
