KUALA LUMPUR (March 2): Pui Cheng Wui, who emerged as a substantial shareholder in Abric Bhd two months ago, has upped his stake in Abric to 13.46%.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Abric (fundamental:1.7; valuation: 2.4) said Pui purchased 2.3 million or 1.64% stake in the company via four transactions, between Feb 24 and Feb 27 this year.

Pui first emerged as a substantial shareholders in Abric on Jan 16 with some 13.44 million shares or 9.57% stake, after exercising a warrant. He then acquired another 3.17 million shares or 2.25% stake in Abric between January 20 and 23, filings with the exchanged showed, which raised his stake to 16.4 million shares or 11.67%.

None of the filings disclosed the transaction price of the acquisition.

Abric, a provider of security sealing solutions, closed unchanged at 45 sen today, giving it a market capitalisation of RM63.23 million.
