KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 4): Priceworth International Bhd's share price climbed as much as one sen or 20% to six sen in morning trades today after the company signed yesterday a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Yayasan Sabah's investment holding vehicle Innoprise Corp Sdn Bhd for the proposed supply of logs to Priceworth.

Yesterday, Priceworth told Bursa Malaysia that pursuant to the MoU, Priceworth and Innoprise plan to enter into a supply of logs agreement, under which Priceworth will pay Innoprise in new Priceworth shares amounting to a 30% stake in Priceworth.

"The new Priceworth shares to be issued shall be at 5 sen per share based on a 10% discount," Priceworth said.

At 11:12am today, Priceworth shares were traded at 5.5 sen with some 30 million units changing hands. The counter was among Bursa's top-active stocks.

Priceworth's share trade resumed today following a suspension yesterday in conjunction with the MoU announcement.
