KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 23): PKR wants the termination of two Penang PKR reps from state government-linked companies (GLC) discussed at the Pakatan Harapan presidential council meeting.

PKR secretary-general Rafizi Ramli said a letter on the matter would be sent to Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng today.

"The letter is to discuss several matters arising from the action to terminate PKR leaders from the GLC.

"I believe Lim will give us space to discuss this behind closed doors," he told reporters at the party headquarters in Petaling Jaya.

On Sunday, PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali had defended the party's assemblymen, expressing unhappiness over the matter.

The duo, Kebun Bunga rep Cheah Kah Peng and Bukit Tengah rep Ong Chin Wen had abstained from voting against an Umno motion to stop all reclamation projects in Penang.

Rafizi said it was best to take into account sensitivity of the public and the matter should be discussed in the Pakatan Harapan presidential council.

"Whatever differences, I think we need to consider the sensitivity of the public,"

"I understand what happened, when the media asked, he (Lim Guan Eng) has to answer. When media ask Datuk Seri Azmin, he has to answer as well," he said.
