KUALA LUMPUR (May 20): Gets Global Bhd, a bus company that ventured into glove manufacturing, announced it has received a notice in writing on the resignation of its external auditor Messrs PKF.

In a bourse filing, Gets Global said the resignation shall take effect upon the appointment of a new external auditor of the company.

Gets Global noted PKF was re-appointed as the external auditor of the company at the 20th annual general meeting (AGM) of the company held on March 3 to hold office until the conclusion of the next AGM of the company.

“The resignation of PKF is based on the mutual consent of both parties,” said the filing.

The company also announced that its board had approved the Audit Committee’s recommendation to appoint Messrs Deloitte PLT after assessing their capabilities, independence and proposed audit fees.

“The appointment of Deloitte as the new Auditors of the Company is subject to the receipt of written consent to act as Auditors of the Company from Deloitte pursuant to Section 264(5) of the Act,” it said.

Gets Global share price finished one sen or 0.94% lower at RM1.05, bringing it a market capitalization of RM298.2 million.
