KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 4): Shares in Petronas Chemicals Group Bhd (PetChem) fell as much as 24 sen or 3.2% to RM7.23 this morning. The counter was the third largest decliner by percentage among the KLCI constituents.

At 10.45am, the stock was traded at RM7.30 — still down 17 sen or 2.3% — with a total of 1.09 million shares done. At its current price, PetChem is valued at RM59.76 billion.

Earlier, it was reported that Credit Suisse analyst Paworamon Suvarnatemee had downgraded the recommendation on PetChem to "Underperform" from "Neutral".

Target price (TP) on the stock was slashed to RM6.80, lowering PetChem's average TP to RM7.90.

Analysts lowered their consensus one-year TP for the stock by 12% in the past three months, with forecasts ranging from RM6.15 to RM9.89, according to Bloomberg.
