KUALA LUMPUR (July 4): Perdana Petroleum Bhd has received a work order extension from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd (PCSB) worth RM8.4 million for the provision of one anchor handling tug & supply (AHTS) vessel.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing, Perdana Petroleum said its wholly owned subsidiary Perdana Nautika Sdn Bhd (PNSB) received the work extension order on June 14.

The initial contract spanned from Aug 4, 2021 until June 14, 2022, it said. The extension is for a period of 169 days with an option of additional 30 days commencing on June 15, 2022, it said.

"PNSB shall provide the AHTS vessel with crew and equipment to perform 24-hour services for assisting and/or servicing drilling rigs, offshore installation, derrick barges, towing and anchor jobs," Perdana Petroleum said.

This is the third contract that Perdana Petroleum has announced this year, and the second from PCSB.

On Feb 14, 2022, it secured a contract for provision of three AHTS vessels from PCSB for RM9.6 million. In April, it secured a work order for the provision of one accommodation work barge (AWB) vessel from Vantage Well Services Sdn Bhd for RM5.49 million.

Shares in Perdana Petroleum closed unchanged at 11 sen, giving it a market capitalisation of RM243.86 million.
