KUALA LUMPUR: Perdana Petroleum Bhd has bagged work orders worth up to RM48 million from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd to provide two anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels.

In filings with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, Perdana Petroleum said its wholly-owned subsidiary Perdana Nautika Sdn Bhd (PNSB) was awarded two work orders on July 29 and Aug 29 by Petronas Carigali to supply the two AHTS vessels.

One of the vessels is for one year which started on Aug 30, with an option for extension of another year. The estimated value of the contract is between RM20 million and RM40 million if the extension option is exercised.

The other contract commenced in early August for a duration of 145 days, with an option for extension of 30 days. The estimated value is between RM7 million and RM8 million.

“PNSB will provide the AHTS vessels with crews and equipment to perform 24-hour services for assisting and/or servicing drilling rigs, offshore installation, derrick barges, towing and anchor jobs,” said Perdana Petroleum.

“The contracts are expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings and net assets for the financial year ending

Dec 31, 2019. The contracts will not have an effect on the share capital and shareholding

structure of Perdana Petroleum,” it added.
