KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 7): Perak Transit Bhd said its Terminal Kampar Putra has been granted a certificate of completion and compliance (CCC) to mark the completion of the 800,000-sq-ft integrated complex.

The terminal comprises commercial, leisure and hospitality facilities, with phase one made up of a public bus terminal located on the ground level of the complex.

"Phase I was granted CCC on May 8, 2019, and the public bus terminal has been in operations since. The full CCC was granted on Aug 7, 2020," Perak Transist said in a filing today.

"When fully operational, Terminal Kampar Putra will offer the 100,000-odd local residences and nearly 30,000 students a one-stop convenience of public bus terminal, retail outlets, eateries, cinema, bowling, badminton courts, gym, hotel, ballroom as well as a 'Sky Garden'," it added.

The group said the completion of project also marks the beginning of a growing focus on developing, owning and operating integrated public transportation terminals by Perak Transit, away from just operating bus services and terminals in Ipoh.

Already in the pipeline is the development of two new terminals in Bidor and Tronoh, it said.

On another note, the group said it intends to declare dividends on a quarterly basis so as to reward shareholders on a more consistent manner.

On July 27, the group declared a special single-tier dividend of 25 sen per share in respect of the financial year ending Dec 31, 2020.

Perak Transit's share price settled 1.5 sen or 5.08% higher at 31 sen, giving a market capitalisation of RM441.06 million. Some 71.54 million shares were traded.
