KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 14): The proprietary day trading (PDT) and intraday short selling (IDSS) of Unisem (M) Bhd's securities have been suspended for the rest of Friday.

In a special announcement, Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd said the suspension is due to the last done price of the approved securities dropping more than 15% from the reference price.

"The short selling under PDT and IDSS will only be activated the following trading day, Monday, Jan 17, 2022 at 8.30am," according to Bursa.

At Friday's noon break, Unisem's share price was 51 sen or 14.25% lower at RM3.07, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM4.95 billion.

It saw some 8.94 million shares traded, exceeding its 200-day average volume of 1.24 million.
