KUALA LUMPUR (June 14): Datuk Paul Poh Yang Hong has been redesignated from non-independent director to president of Iris Corp Bhd.

He has also assumed the role of group managing director, according to a bourse filing today.

Poh, 45, is currently the chief executive officer of Caprice Capital International Ltd. He is also a director of GLM Reit Management Sdn Bhd, the manager of Tower Real Estate Investment Trust.

He has held various positions in Hong Leong Group, including as the managing director of GuocoLand (Malaysia) Bhd, managing director of corporate and private equity department, group investment office of HL Management Co Sdn Bhd.

At the same time, Datuk Rozabil Abdul Rahman has been re-designated from deputy chairman of Iris to executive director. Rozabil is currently the group managing director of integrated engineering solutions provider Destini Bhd.

An epassport and smart card manufacturer, the company was co-founded by Datuk Tan Say Jim — its former group managing director — who retired at the age of 60 last year after serving for 21 years.

Felda Investment Corp Bhd owns 17% of Iris, while Poh and Rozabil hold 10.3% via Caprice Development Sdn Bhd.
