KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 4): Pasukhas Group Bhd has appointed Wan Thean Hoe, a chartered accountant, as its executive director, effective today.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the engineering solutions provider said Wan is deemed interested in Pasukhas via 56 million shares, which represent an 18.98% stake in the company, via his private vehicle Tara Temasek Sdn Bhd.

Tara Temasek acquired the shares from Modal Khas Holdings Sdn Bhd on Oct 19, via a direct business transaction, according to the company's filing with the stock exchange then, making it the largest shareholder in the company.

The transaction value, however, was not disclosed at the time.

Wan, 46, is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

He started his career as an account executive in Maju Associate Sdn Bhd in 1993 before joining Tan Chong Motor Assemblies Sdn Bhd as an accountant in 1995.

Subsequently, he joined DXN Holdings Bhd as the group financial controller in 1998.

In 2000, he joined Yunque Automotive (China) Co Ltd and Jiang Yin Cheng Chang Auto Parts (China) Co Ltd as deputy general manager.

After coming back from China, he joined Toptrans Engineering Group as group financial controller in 2010 and started off Tara Temasek and Clean Tech Waste Solution Sdn Bhd after he left Toptrans.

Shares in Pasukhas closed 1.5 sen or 7.89% higher at 20.5 sen, for a market capitalisation of RM60.48 million.
