KUALA LUMPUR (July 3): Pasir Salak MP Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman was booted out of the Parliament today, after he turned aggressive and shouted at Deputy Speaker Nga Kor Ming, accusing the latter of not respecting him as the people’s representative.

Nga said Tajuddin is also suspended from Parliament for four days.

The uproar followed Tajuddin's expression of his disappointment when Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Datuk Salahuddin Ayub did not answer Tajuddin's question on the status of the cash crop programme to increase farmers' income.

Salahuddin's deputy Sim Tze Tzin had instead answered Tajuddin's question.

Tajuddin, while voicing his disappointment, said: “I want to make a statement here that it was disappointing that the minister himself was here when the House (Lower House of Parliament/Dewan Rakyat) was hearing the previous (question) before mine, but he left when it was about to be his turn to answer my questions."

"He (Salahuddin) did not respect me as the people’s representative,” Tajuddin said when he was supposed to ask his additional question within one minute.

Nga then urged Tajuddin to proceed to the question, as the latter was running out of time.

Feeling offended, Tajuddin turned aggressive and shouted at Nga, accusing Nga of not respecting him as the people’s representative.
