<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>At the start of today’s proceedings, Minister&nbsp;in the Prime&nbsp;Minister's&nbsp;Department (Parliament and&nbsp;Law)&nbsp;Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan proposed that the session should not end until all ministries have responded to&nbsp;issues raised during the debates&nbsp;on Budget 2021 and matters relating to the policy stage of the bill are settled.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>There was rife speculation yesterday about a possible deferment of the budget voting&nbsp;as there were still a number of ministries that had yet to debate and that proceedings had been cut short to end at 2pm every day prior to yesterday to minimise the risk of Covid-19 infection.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>By the end of yesterday, 10 ministries had completed their debates, leaving nine more to debate today.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Meanwhile, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) yesterday indicated that the winding up of the policy-level debate is slated for 2pm today.</p></div>
