KUALA LUMPUR (July 17): Parkland Group got its start with developments in southern Peninsular Malaysia, namely Melaka, and over time expanded to Negeri Sembilan, Johor and Selangor. Its flagship project in Melaka — Bandar Botani Parkland — aims to showcase lifestyle elements and homes within gated-and-guarded communities.

In addition, the developer invested RM50 million in infrastructure to create shorter drive times to Bandar Botani Parkland to and from Melaka town, as well as Jasin town.

Bandar Botani Parkland is a 652-acre township with a gross development value of RM1.6 billion. Phase 1, which was launched in September 2021, is fully taken up and Phase 2 will be launched soon. Phase 2 will feature 808 units of landed homes in both 1-storey and 2-storey versions, along with Rumah Mampu Milik and Rumah Kos Sederhana Rendah schemes. The selling prices for the conventional units start at RM371,000, while the other homes are from RM100,000.

Other projects to be launched for the 2022/23 duration will amount to RM1 billion in GDV, and they are located in Kluang and Masai, Johor; as well as in Kajang. Future projects in the plans include a resort and an integrated development in Melaka.

Plans are afoot to expand to the northern part of Peninsular Malaysia and abroad, as well as to delve into businesses such as plantation, hospitality and trading. Further down the line, listing on Bursa Malaysia.
