KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 29): Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah announced that nine new clusters have been detected, including four that are linked to workplaces in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.

 

The four workplace-related clusters are:

1. The Seri Lanang cluster involving Klang, Gombak, Kuala Selangor and Petaling in Selangor with 173 cases.

2. The Jalan Chu cluster in Lembah Pantai, Kuala Lumpur with 44 cases.

3. The Awan Puteh construction site cluster also in Lembah Pantai with 29 cases.

4. The Integra Ikon cluster in Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur with 11 cases.

 

The other five new clusters are:

1. The Rambai cluster which spans Melaka Tengah and Alor Gajah in Melaka, Petaling in Selangor as well as Rembau in Negeri Sembilan with 16 cases.

2. The Teguli cluster in Putatan, Sabah with 12 cases; the Timbang Dayang cluster in Kota Belud, Sabah with 13 cases.

3. The Tembok Mempaga cluster in Bentong, Pahang with 284 cases.

4. The Jalan Satang cluster which spans Titiwangsa and Kepong in Kuala Lumpur, Hulu Langat, Petaling, Gombak and Klang in Selangor as well as Bentong in Pahang with 30 cases.

 

To date, 498 clusters have been detected in the country, according to Dr Noor Hisham.

Of that, 278 clusters have ended after no new cases were reported in 28 days including three clusters that were declared over today, namely the Bot Biru cluster in Sabah, and two clusters in Negeri Sembilan — the Gedong cluster and the Jernih cluster.
