KUALA LUMPUR (July 4): Naza TTDI Sdn Bhd commemorated the topping out of MET 1 Residences of MET 1 on June 30 to mark the completion of the residential development, which is located within the 75.5-acre KL Metropolis in Segambut, Kuala Lumpur.

With a gross development value of RM1.37 billion, MET 1 is an integrated development that comprises an office tower, Somerset serviced apartments, MET 1 Residences and a three-level retail mall.

The 55-storey MET 1 Residences has four typical layouts with built-ups ranging from 677 to 1,613 sq ft. Each unit features a floor plan that resembles either a semi detached or a bungalow layout, depending on the built-up area.

“We look forward to the delivery of MET 1 Residences by this year and reaffirm our commitment to accelerating the development pace of KL Metropolis, which is expected to be the next most sought-after address for the new generation with its modern, inclusive and sustainable ecosystem. We have reached the final floor of MET 1 Residences that is Level 55 even after two years of the pandemic. Our near completion after those difficult times only shows that Naza TTDI is committed to the project and will proceed with its full completion,” said Naza TTDI chief executive officer (CEO) Daniel Lim Hin Soon in a press statement.

KL Metropolis, which is poised to be a micro city within Kuala Lumpur, is accessible via four major highways — the Duta-Ulu Kelang Expressway (DUKE), New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), SPRINT Highway and North-South Expressway.

Upon completion, it will be the home to the largest urban park in the Mont Kiara area and is populated with 1,092 of trees under the urban reforestation programme.

All amenities and facilities in KL Metropolis are planned to be reachable on foot via elevated pedestrian walkways, while the streets will have pedestrian and cyclist-friendly features such as shaded canopies and bike racks.

“The project also embraces NAZA Group’s efforts in advocating the environment, social and governance philosophy in our businesses. The ESG approach requires a deep commitment to environmental stewardship, social responsibility and good governance and an aspiration to be a leader in the industry and beyond. It is all about sustainability where facilities must be environmentally-friendly, ensuring the well-being of the local communities while addressing the design needs arising from the pandemic,” Lim noted.
