KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said he can only disclose audited 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) financials to ensure the accuracy and authenticity of the information.

As such, Najib said in Parliament yesterday he could not furnish any information on 1MDB’s former subsidiary SRC International Sdn Bhd’s RM4 billion loan from Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) (KWAP).

This is because the numbers have yet to be audited, according to Najib.

SRC is now a wholly-owned unit of the finance ministry.

Najib said this in a written reply to Raub member of parliament Datuk Mohd Ariff Sabri Abdul Aziz, who had asked about the usage and balance of the RM4 billion loan, and whether the money had been returned to KWAP.

Najib, who is also the finance minister, said: “The information requested by YB is part of the information that has yet to be audited.”

“It is 1MDB’s standard practice that only the audited detailed information will be shared with the public to ensure the information is accurate and authentic,”Najib said.
