KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 23): When asked about his cronies in a video posted online on Saturday, the former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said all of Malaysia were his cronies, and should go to jail with him.

The video, called 'Ulasan Apek Cina Bersama Bossku,' was shared to the UMNO facebook page, featuring a comedic music backing track, and an interviewer. The interviewer posed a series of questions about whether many of Najib's controversial affairs were true, from the murder of Altantuyaa to 1MDB.

To each question, Najib explained how he was not guilty in the slightest.

"Who are your cronies, and where is their money? Probably Chinese tycoons, and Malay tycoons." the man who referred to himself as 'Apek Cina' asked Najib.

Najib responded by saying "No, no. Actually, my cronies are the rakyat. It's true, because my policies were to help the nation."

"So I am a crony too?" asked the man who called himself 'Apek Cina'.

"Everyone is a crony," Najib agreed.

"So if all your cronies have to go to jail, does that mean we all have to go to jail?" asked the interviewer.

"We all go to jail." Najib responded.

The interviewer then nodded.

Najib went on to describe Mat Sabu as one of his favourite ministers because Najib said Mat Sabu sometimes mispronounces words in English, and said that Lim Kit Siang was also his favourite because Lim Kit Siang "seems to be obsessed with me."

The former premier currently faces 25 charges of money laundering and abuse of power involving billions of ringgit that were also purportedly sourced from the troubled sovereign wealth fund, 1MDB. — EdgeProp.my
